What qualifications do I need to be a project manager?

What qualifications you need to be a project manager would normally be a degree. This does not need to be a project management degree and is usually in a subject such as IT, business or management. In addition, employers typically look for candidates with any of the following project management certifications.

• PRINCE2 Foundation (mainly UK and Europe);
• PRINCE2 Practitioner (mainly UK and Europe);
• APM PFQ (mainly UK);
• APM PMQ (mainly UK);
• AgilePM Foundation (mainly UK);
• AgilePM Practitioner (mainly UK);
• PMP® (mainly US, Asia).
