AgileBA Foundation is designed for people who want to understand how business analysis works in agile environments and learn a structured set of concepts and techniques they can use alongside agile delivery teams.
No. There are no formal prerequisites for AgileBA Foundation. The course introduces the approach from the ground up, including the AgileBA framework, the agile business analyst role and the core techniques used throughout the syllabus.
After passing Foundation, you become eligible to sit the AgileBA Practitioner exam. If you want to progress, you can take AgileBA Foundation and Practitioner training from the start, or contact Knowledge Train to arrange Practitioner-only training if you already hold Foundation.
By the end of the course, you should understand the AgileBA approach, how an agile business analyst contributes throughout delivery, and how to work with stakeholders, requirements, models and planning techniques in an agile context.

Explore key responsibilities, collaboration with business and delivery teams, and the focus on customer value and business outcomes.
Identify and analyse stakeholders, build effective communication and support agile workshops.
Capture and manage requirements, write user stories and acceptance criteria, and apply MoSCoW prioritisation.
Use models to explore processes, workflows, solution context and options, while improving shared understanding.
Understand agile delivery plans, release roadmaps, timeboxing, iterative development, progress tracking and change management.
The AgileBA Foundation course is delivered as a live virtual classroom, giving you a structured timetable and direct interaction with an accredited trainer.
The AgileBA Foundation exam tests your knowledge and understanding of the concepts, roles and techniques covered by the Foundation syllabus.
The exam is included with the course and is sat online on the afternoon of day 3. You do not need to make a separate exam purchase when booking the course.
Use the course lessons, official digital manual, example questions and mock exam practice to reinforce the terminology and techniques covered by the syllabus.
A provisional result is available immediately after the exam. Official results and a marks breakdown are normally published in the APMG Candidate Portal within about two working days, where you can access your digital certificate.
No. The AgileBA Foundation certificate is valid for life and does not require renewal or re-registration.
You can retake the Foundation exam. A separate resit fee applies.
AgileBA Practitioner is the next certification level and requires a Foundation pass. If you already hold Foundation, contact Knowledge Train to arrange Practitioner-only training.
