Both routes cover the same four Knowledge Train modules, but the instructor-led pathway is arranged as a collection of module bookings rather than one fixed Diploma course date.
Assessments
Stage 1: pass the four module assessments
Knowledge Train includes the assessment for each of the four modules in this pathway.

Each module gives you its own BCS certificate after you pass the relevant assessment.
Stage 2: take the final BCS oral assessment
After you hold the required four module certificates, you can book the final BCS International Diploma oral assessment directly with BCS.

What happens after the oral assessment?
If you pass the final oral assessment, BCS awards the International Diploma in Business Analysis. The Diploma is therefore achieved only after both stages are complete: the qualifying module certificates and the separate oral assessment.

You need the required combination of four qualifying BCS module certificates: Business Analysis Practice, Requirements Engineering, one knowledge-based module and one practitioner module.
No. Business Analysis Practice and Requirements Engineering are the two core modules. BCS permits different qualifying options for the knowledge-based and practitioner module slots. Knowledge Train's route uses Foundation as the knowledge-based module and Modelling Business Processes as the practitioner module.

No. The final oral assessment is booked and paid for directly with BCS after you have passed the required module assessments.
