FAQs

Are these AI courses only for technical people or data scientists?

No. These routes are designed for people who work on projects, programmes, business change, business analysis, PMO and governance. You don’t need a technical background – the focus is on how AI supports your existing work.

I’m a project or programme manager. Where should I start?

If your main concern is how AI should be governed in projects and programmes, choose AIPGF Foundation. If you want broad AI understanding, start with BCS AI. If you want hands-on skills for your current role, pick the AI in Project Management workshop.

What if I’m worried AI will replace parts of my role?

These courses treat AI as a tool, not a replacement for your judgement. You’ll learn how AI can speed up analysis and documentation, but it still relies on your context, ethics and decision-making.

Do I need project management or governance experience to attend?

For AIPGF and the AI in Project Management workshop, familiarity with projects, programmes, or governance is helpful. For BCS AI, you don’t need to be a project specialist – it’s a general AI fundamentals course that is still highly relevant to project and change work.

Can my organisation run AI training for a team?

Yes. AIPGF, BCS AI, and the AI in Project Management workshop can all be delivered to groups. Each route serves different needs: AIPGF focuses on governance, BCS AI is for foundational knowledge, and the workshop builds hands-on project skills. Choose based on what outcomes your team needs most.

How do these AI courses fit with PRINCE2, Agile or other methods?

AIPGF is methodology-agnostic and is designed to sit alongside approaches such as PRINCE2, Agile or PMBOK. BCS AI gives you general AI knowledge that you can apply to any method. The AI in Project Management workshop focuses on using AI tools within whatever project method you already use.
