Yes. A pass in the Foundation exam is required before you can sit the Practitioner exam. The combined Agile Business Analysis Foundation & Practitioner course is designed around this requirement, so you study and complete Foundation before progressing to Practitioner content and assessment.
If you already hold a valid Foundation certificate, the combined course would repeat training you have already completed. Contact Knowledge Train instead and we can arrange the 1-day Practitioner-only course for you.

The AgileBA Foundation & Practitioner course is delivered as a live virtual classroom over 4 days. You learn directly from an accredited trainer, move from Foundation into Practitioner content in a structured sequence and prepare for both exams.
The combined course includes both AgileBA examinations. Foundation is completed first because a Foundation pass is required before you can sit the Practitioner exam.
Foundation tests knowledge and understanding of AgileBA concepts and techniques. Practitioner tests whether you can apply that guidance to scenario-based situations and make appropriate judgements in context.
Use the structured training, official digital manual, mock exams and trainer guidance. The Practitioner stage also includes case-study-based practice so you become familiar with applying AgileBA rather than simply recalling it.
Provisional results are available after the exams. Official results and marks breakdowns are normally published in the APMG Candidate Portal within about two working days, where you can access your digital certificates.
The AgileBA Foundation certificate is valid for life.
Passing Practitioner gives you Registered Practitioner status for five years. You can take a shorter Re-Registration exam between years three and five to maintain that status. If you do not re-register, the Practitioner certificate itself remains valid but Registered Practitioner status lapses.
Yes. If you do not pass an exam, you can retake it. A separate resit fee applies.
