The DevOps Institute has developed a DevOps certification model consisting of 7 competency-based qualifications. These focus on equipping IT personnel with the knowledge and skills needed to work in a DevOps environment.

DevOps Foundation® certification

DevOps Foundation certification demonstrates your understanding of core DevOps principles and practices, terminology and culture. It’s an introductory certification and there is no prerequisite.

DevOps Foundation is suitable for anyone who needs an overview of DevOps, especially those who deliver software or IT solutions, and current/aspiring DevOps engineers.

To gain this certificate, you will need to study and sit an exam. You can either book a training course, or study it online. Some of the topics you will study are:
