Scrum Master Certification & Training (London) - Professional Scrum Master™ (PSM I®)

Professional Scrum Master (PSM) is the cutting-edge course for effective Scrum Masters and for anyone coaching a team toward increased efficiency and effectiveness.

This 2-day course in central London is fully accredited by Scrum.org. On this course you will gain a good understanding of Scrum principles and how to apply them in a Scrum Master role.

The course also enables you to sit the Professional Scrum Master PSM I examination with 2 free attempts.

Who should attend?

You should attend this course if you work in the software/IT or creative industries and either:

• You want to get an overview of the Scrum framework; or,
• You’re a current or aspiring Scrum Master or Scrum team member; or,
• You want to gain PSM I certification to boost your CV; or,
• You want to increase your effectiveness when working on a Scrum team.

This course includes:

• Training and exam preparation from an approved Scrum trainer.
• Up to two free attempts at the Professional Scrum Master (PSM I) assessment;
• Pre-course study material;
• Accredited course materials;

This course combines both instruction and team-based exercises. Students will:

• Learn what is at the heart of the Scrum and Agile movements;
• Gain a clear understanding of the rules of Scrum through the empirical foundation of Scrum;
• Gain an-depth understanding of servant-leadership;
• Be able to act as Scrum Masters for Scrum Teams and stakeholders;
• Be able to effectively start using Scrum;
• Be able to increase the effectiveness of Scrum underway.

During this course, students are challenged to think in terms of the Scrum principles to better understand what to do when returning to work. During the class students work together as a team on real-life examples. There is lots of time for discussion and hands-on exercises.

Using a mixture of instruction, discussion and team-based hands-on exercises the course covers the following topics:

• Scrum theory and principles;
• The Scrum Framework;
• The Definition of Done;
• Running a Scrum project;
• Working with people and teams;
• Scrum in your organization;
• The role of the Scrum Master.

This course runs over 2 days. The times for the class on both days are 09:00-17:00. There is pre-course reading and homework will be set.

• Pre-requisites: none;
• Time: 60 minutes;
• Questions: 80 multiple-choice, multiple-answer and true/false;
• Exam style: closed book (i.e. no reference materials allowed);
• Pass mark: 85% - 68 or more correct answers to pass;
• Exam registration: obtained when attending the course;
• Exam password: You will receive a password to take the PSM I assessment by email. All students on the course are emailed a password upon completion of the course (typically within 3-5 business days).
