PMI require PMP exam takers to have actual experience leading projects, alongside a certain level of education. You must therefore ensure you meet these requirements if you wish to gain PMP certification to start a new career in project management.
If you do not meet these requirements, PRINCE2 might be a better course for you, as there are no pre-requisites for sitting the exam.
Course and exam structure
This course consists of 11 self-paced interactive video modules which cover the full PMP syllabus. The style of the course is media-rich and highly interactive, with quizzes, games and audio. The 11 modules are:

No exam is included with this course. If you want to take the PMP exam, you will need to purchase the exam from PMI and pass their online exam requirements assessment.
You can meet the requirements by having either:
- A secondary degree, 35 hours of project management education and 7,500 hours of experience leading or directing projects
- A four-year degree, 35 hours of project management education and 4,500 hours of experience leading or directing projects
If you choose to take the exam, it is worth knowing that this is a 4-hour exam consisting of 200 multiple choice questions. To maintain your PMP certification, you would be required to earn 60 PDUs every three years.
