AXELOS

AXELOS is the UK accreditation body with a portfolio of globally-recognised best practice qualifications.

RESILIA® is AXELOS’s cyber resilience qualification. Its aim is to:

  • Improve employees’ skills, knowledge and competence in cyber resilience;
  • Make individuals work more effectively in making their organisation cyber resilient.

There are 2 levels of RESILIA certification:

RESILIA Foundation

This certification helps you understand how decisions impact good and bad cyber resilience. It teaches you how to make good cyber resilience an efficient part of business and operational management.

RESILA Foundation is suitable for professionals with responsibility for IT and security functions or risk and compliance operations.

The Foundation qualification is an introductory certification and there is no prerequisite. You can study for the exam by taking a training course.

The syllabus covers topics such as:

  • The purpose, benefits and key terms of cyber resilience;
  • Risk management and the key activities needed to address risks and opportunities;
  • Management system and how best practices and standards can contribute;
  • Cyber resilience strategy, the associated control objectives and their interactions with ITSM activities;
  • Cyber resilience design;
  • Cyber resilience transition;
  • Cyber resilience operation;
  • Cyber resilience continual improvement;
  • Benefits of segregation of duties and dual controls.

The format of the exam is:

  • 50 multiple-choice questions;
  • Passing score of 65% (33 marks or above);
  • 1 hour and 40 minutes duration;
  • Closed-book.

RESILIA Practitioner

Passing the Foundation exam makes you eligible to sit the Practitioner exam. Practitioner certification helps you understand:

  • How effective cyber resilience looks like;
  • How the risks and issues that can easily affect cyber resilience;
  • How to get the best balance of risk, cost, benefits and flexibility within an organisation.

Also, it teaches you the practical skills needed to apply effective and beneficial cyber resilience.

RESILIA Practitioner is also aimed at professionals with responsibility for IT and security functions. This certification covers topics such as:

  • How to carry out risk management;
  • How to manage the controls relevant to the following and align them with IT service management:
    • Cyber resilience strategy;
    • Cyber resilience design;
    • Cyber resilience transition;
    • Cyber resilience operation;
    • Cyber resilience continual improvement;
  • How to evaluate need for segregation of duties and dual controls.

The format of the exam is:

  • 50 multiple-choice questions;
  • Passing mark is 60% (30/50 questions);
  • 2 hours and 15 minutes' duration;
  • Closed book.
