What is the difference between Project Management Institute and PRINCE2?
The difference between Project Management Institute (PMI)® and PRINCE2 lies mainly in their focus. PRINCE2 is a project management methodology which emphasises structured processes and repeatable framework. The PMI is an association of professional project managers. There are both certifications available for PRINCE2, and certifications available from PMI. Consider your location when choosing between the two certifications - PRINCE2 in the UK and Europe, and PMI in the US.
