What is the best Agile certification to get?
What is the best Agile certification to get? The best Agile certification depends upon your specific needs and career goals. If you work in a development role, the best two certifications would be Scrum Master certification and Scrum Product Owner certification. If you want a general overview of Scrum, then Scrum Essentials certification would be best. For more advanced Scrum roles, especially for people with several years' of experience, SAFe® certification would be best. Outside a development role, Kanban certification is useful for those needing to improve their workflow with visual representations of their work.
For project managers, Agile project management certification would be the direction to go. Both AgilePM certification and PRINCE2 Agile certification provide both Foundation and Practitioner certifications aimed at people just needing to learn about Agile project management, or needing to apply project management practices in Agile ways.
For Agile certifications with preconditions, PMI®-ACP certification is the most demanding because it requires 21 hours of Agile-specific training and 2,000 hours of relevant project experience.
