Does my APMG credential expire?
APMG Change Management Foundation qualification does not expire and is valid for life. APMG Change Management Practitioner qualification expires after 5 years. Candidates who pass the Practitioner exam are recognised as ‘Change Management Registered Practitioners’.
Maintaining the ‘Registered Practitioner’ status must be done within 3-5 years by passing an APMG Change Management Re-registration exam which is the same format as the Practitioner exam but has fewer questions and lasts for 1.5 hours.
Beyond the 5-year period, you will be required to complete the full Practitioner exam again to be reinstated as a Change Management Registered Practitioner.
When do I receive my accreditaion in Change Management?
All exam results and credentials are administered by APMG International via the APMG Candidate Portal.
Preliminary results are available immediately after completion.

When do I receive my manual?
Instructor-led traditional classroom course students
- You will receive The Effective Change Manager’s Handbook on the first morning of the classroom course.
Instructor-led virtual classroom course students
- If you live in the United Kingdom, you will receive your handbook via courier in a timely manner before the start of your virtual classroom course.
If you live outside the UK, you will receive a digital copy of the handbook via email. You can still elect to receive a hard copy of the handbook, but you must pay an additional postage fee.
How can I prepare for my course?
If you’ve enrolled in our instructor-led APMG Change Management class, we’ll provide introductory reading to help you familiarise yourself with basic terms and concepts before the course begins.
This reading should take no more than 2-3 hours and provides a basic overview of some of the topics you’ll encounter on your first day of your class.
When can I take my exam?
If studying through an instructor-led APMG Change Management class, your instructor may set aside time during class to take the exams.
However, you are not obligated to sit your exams at this time and can book your exams whenever it is most convenient for you.
If you are studying using self-paced online training, you can choose to take your exam at any time within 12 months of purchase.
Is there any homework?
During your instructor-led APMG Change Management class, our trainers will assign you homework of 1-2 hours at the end of each day.
Homework may include reading assignments, quizzes, and other beneficial revision exercises.
