How long does PMP certification last?
PMP® certification lasts for three years. Once the certification expires, you must renew it by earning 60 professional development units (PDUs) within the certification cycle, as proscribed by the Project Management Institute (PMI)®. This is part of the Continuing Certification Requirements programme, which ensures that PMP® credential holders maintain their competence and enhance their knowledge.
Though the certification period is fixed at three years, diligent preparation for renewal can effectively extend your certification without interruption, maintaining your status as a Project Management Professional.
