Certification in P3O®
P3O certification is available from AXELOS as part of its best management practice approach to the management of Portfolio, Programme and Project Offices (P3O).
P3O was developed by AXELOS as part of its best management practice suite of products. Other, more well-known products which are part of this suite include ITIL®, PRINCE2® and MSP®.
The P3O guidance provides a framework for the design, implementation and management of Portfolio, Programme and Project Management Offices.
P3O is the best-known certification for portfolio, programme and project management office professionals. Being P3O-certified offers an important career boost for portfolio managers, programme managers and project managers wanting to move into portfolio, programme and project management office roles.
There are 2 qualifications which are offered as part of the P3O certification scheme: Foundation and Practitioner. Both P3O examinations are based upon the P3O guidance which is contained within the P3O guidance.
The P3O Foundation qualification confirms that you have enough knowledge and understanding of the P3O guidance to interact effectively with, or act as an informed member of, an office within a P3O model.
P3O Foundation certification is a pre-requisite for the P3O Practitioner certification.
