Course details

This 2-day Professional Scrum Master (PSM) course in London provides an overview of the Scrum framework and equips you with the widely recognized PSM I certification. Fully accredited by Scrum.org, this course will leave you with a good understanding of Scrum principles and how to apply them. Gaining PSM I certification also enables you to progress onto further Scrum certification.

PSM vs CSM

If you are wondering which certificate is best, PSM certification is generally recommended. Firstly, the PSM assessment is more rigorous, so is more respected. Training materials on PSM courses must be approved, whereas CSM has no set standard. This means CSM courses vary in quality. With PSM certification, you can also progress onto more advanced certificates. Finally, PSM is backed by the co-creator of Scrum, Ken Schwaber.

To assist you and provide you with the best possible chance of successfully completing the PSM I exam, we provide you with concise pre-course study and effective course materials. And our central London training venue is conveniently located to many transport links.

What is Scrum?

Scrum is an agile product delivery framework used in many different industries. A Scrum team is collaborative and self-managing with an elevated level of communication. Daily meetings called ‘scrums’ are a part of every Scrum project and product delivery is both incremental and iterative.

Because of the heightened sense of morale, team spirit and iterative approach, Scrum projects tend to get delivered quicker with less risk, as well as being on time and within budget. This in turn leads to higher customer satisfaction.

A Scrum team is small and self-reliant, consisting of a Product Owner, Development Team and Scrum Master. The Product Owner liaises with the customer and sets the tasks to be completed, whilst the Development Team complete the tasks in Sprints (iterations).

The Scrum Master keeps the team focussed, ensuring the team stick to Scrum principles and removing obstacles. During daily scrums, the Scrum Master will guide the team to take increasing control over their own work, until ultimately the Scrum Master may not even need to attend.

Who is this for?

This course is ideal for anyone requiring an overview of the Scrum framework. Current or aspiring Scrum Masters and Scrum team members will benefit the most. Gaining PSM I certification will boost your CV, whilst the knowledge gained on this course will increase your effectiveness at work.
