The PRINCE2 Planning (PL) process is performed when creating any plan in PRINCE2. This process is covered as part of the PRINCE2 training courses offered at Knowledge Train.
This process is performed in order to produce the Project Plan, Stage Plans, Exception Plans and Team Plans or when any of these plans need modifying. It is normally assumed that this process is not required when writing other PRINCE2 plans such as the Project Quality Plan and Configuration Management Plan.
During this process the PRINCE2 Product Based Planning Technique can be performed.
This process is performed by the Project Manager and Team Managers.
