At Knowledge Train we provide PRINCE2 training courses almost every week. Our trainers and invigilators work hard to ensure that students feel confident about sitting the PRINCE2 Foundation, Practitioner, and Practitioner Re-registration exams.
This is the third (and final) part of your essential PRINCE2 exam checklist, specially prepared by the team at Knowledge Train. Keep the following tips in mind to help ensure that you have everything you need to sit your PRINCE2 exam with us.
PRINCE2 manual (for Practitioner and Practitioner Re-registration)
With the exception of Foundation candidates, you are permitted to refer to your own manual during the exam. It is a good idea to tab the manual’s pages (perhaps using coloured sticky notes) before the exam, so that you can easily find the appropriate section to help you answer questions. Because you cannot make reference to any other material (e.g. course notes) during the exam, you should ensure that any sheets of paper or other items are not left between the pages of the manual.
Pass marks
Familiarise yourself with the minimum number of marks required to pass your PRINCE2 exam (2009 version):
- Foundation: 35/70 (in addition, five ‘trial’ questions are unmarked)
- Practitioner: 59/108
- Re-Registration: 20/36
Answer in relation to PRINCE2
Even if you possess extensive experience of project management, remember that you are only being tested on your understanding of PRINCE2. For the purpose of the exam, focus solely on what would be correct according to the PRINCE2 approach to projects.
Page order
If you are sitting the Practitioner or Practitioner Re-registration exam, you will complete several answer sheets during the exam. Check that they are in the correct page order, before submitting them to the invigilator. By doing so, you help to ensure that your answers to questions are not mixed up during the marking process.
